As a USCG Master Captain, seasoned naturalist, and former commercial fisherman, he offers a unique perspective on Florida’s wild landscapes and rich ecosystems. Are your tours family-friendly?

Yes! Our airboat tours are designed with families in mind. We welcome guests of all ages and provide child-sized life jackets. The experience is both exciting and educational, making it perfect for kids and adults alike.

What's the difference between Marsh Beast and Florida Cracker Airboats?

Marsh Beast Airboat Rides is ideal for individuals, couples, or small groups who want to join a shared airboat tour.

Florida Cracker Airboats offers private tours reserved just for your group — great for families, reunions, or special occasions.

What kind of wildlife will we see?

You may spot alligators, turtles, wading birds, hawks, and more! While we can’t guarantee sightings, our experienced captains know the best places to look.

How long is the tour?

Tours last 50 minutes, depending on weather and water conditions. We ask that you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your departure time.

Do I need to book in advance?

We highly recommend booking ahead, especially during weekends, holidays, and peak seasons.

What should we bring?

We suggest bringing:

Sunglasses and sunscreen
A hat or visor
Water or snacks (no coolers allowed on the boat)
A camera or phone for photos

Ear protection and life jackets are provided.

Is it safe?

Absolutely. All tours are operated by USCG-licensed captains, and safety is our top priority. We conduct regular equipment checks and provide a safety briefing before every ride.

Are there age or weight restrictions?

There’s no minimum age, but children must be able to sit safely on a bench seat with a life jacket. No infants, and children are not allowed to ride in an adult’s lap. Please contact us ahead of time for guests with special needs or concerns.

What happens in bad weather?

For safety, tours may be delayed or rescheduled due to lightning, high winds, or heavy rain. We’ll work with you to rebook or offer a refund if needed.

Booked this on trip down to Miami - absolutely amazing. Captain Jeff was fantastic and his knowledge was outstanding. If you want an airboat ride then this is the one to book. Alligators, baby gators, turtles, ospreys, fish and so much more. Thankyou so much.

Took the 8am tour with Captain Jeff today, what a fantastic experience. The airboat alone was amazing, along with the Gators, Birds and all other wildlife, ducks, water flowers & plants. The wealth of knowledge that Captain Jeff possess along with his great sense of humour is second to none!!! This is an experience definitely not to be missed

Great experience with Captain John, it was a very windy morning and the gators were well hidden but John persevered and was able to spot a couple of huge gators as well as some babies. Really great experience, thoughtful and patient guide with excellent knowledge and commentary, highly recommended

Marsh Beasts Airboat Rides – A Must-Do in Vero Beach! We had an unforgettable experience with Marsh Beasts Airboat Rides out of Vero Beach! From the moment we arrived, everything felt top-notch. The boat itself was a stunner—bright yellow and green, sleek, and clearly well cared for. My daughter even commented on how comfortable the headphones were. But the real star of the show was Captain John. He struck the perfect balance between fun and facts, especially with our young girls. His energy was infectious, and his knowledge of the marshland and wildlife kept us all engaged. He made sure the kids felt safe and excited, turning the ride into a true adventure. We saw dozens of alligators, some incredibly close! The entire trip was smooth, scenic, and packed with moments we’ll be talking about for a long time. If you’re anywhere near Vero Beach, don’t miss Marsh Beasts. We’ll definitely be back for another!

Captain Jeff was awesome! The weather was not in our favor to start but Captain Jeff was willing to wait out the storm with us if we wanted. We are so glad we did! We saw so many gators and other awesome wildlife and learned a lot of new information also! Definitely a cool adventure to do if you’re considering!

What a great time with an amazing host who was energetic, informative, interesting and skilled! We learned about the birds we saw (tons of them, btw - way more than I expected!), the alligators (we weren't sure we'd see one but we saw several including some babies!), the vegetation, airboats, the history of the area.... and all with some well-timed jokes 🙂 This was such a great activity that we did on the spur of the moment - so glad we did! Even though we thought it'd be hot, when you're moving you got lots of air helping cool you off! Highly recommend MARSH BEAST!
