A true Florida native, Capt. John brings over 25 years of airboating experience to every tour. As a USCG Master Captain, seasoned naturalist, and former commercial fisherman, he offers a unique perspective on Florida’s wild landscapes and rich ecosystems. Are your tours family-friendly?

Yes! Our airboat tours are designed with families in mind. We welcome guests of all ages and provide child-sized life jackets. The experience is both exciting and educational, making it perfect for kids and adults alike.

What's the difference between Marsh Beast and Florida Cracker Airboats?

Marsh Beast Airboat Rides is ideal for individuals, couples, or small groups who want to join a shared airboat tour.

Florida Cracker Airboats offers private tours reserved just for your group — great for families, reunions, or special occasions.

What kind of wildlife will we see?

You may spot alligators, turtles, wading birds, hawks, and more! While we can’t guarantee sightings, our experienced captains know the best places to look.

How long is the tour?

Tours last 50 minutes, depending on weather and water conditions. We ask that you arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your departure time.

Do I need to book in advance?

We highly recommend booking ahead, especially during weekends, holidays, and peak seasons.

What should we bring?

We suggest bringing:

Sunglasses and sunscreen
A hat or visor
Water or snacks (no coolers allowed on the boat)
A camera or phone for photos

Ear protection and life jackets are provided.

Is it safe?

Absolutely. All tours are operated by USCG-licensed captains, and safety is our top priority. We conduct regular equipment checks and provide a safety briefing before every ride.

Are there age or weight restrictions?

There’s no minimum age, but children must be able to sit safely on a bench seat with a life jacket. No infants, and children are not allowed to ride in an adult’s lap. Please contact us ahead of time for guests with special needs or concerns.

What happens in bad weather?

For safety, tours may be delayed or rescheduled due to lightning, high winds, or heavy rain. We’ll work with you to rebook or offer a refund if needed.

Air boat tour has been on my bucket list for along time. Was not disappointed! Seen baby alligators, and aggressive one plus several others! Several birds. Captian John was very informative about the the marsh life!!!!! Even learned about a tree in the marsh that sometimes used for fake crab meat. THIS SOUTHERN INDIANA couple loved it! This morning we had the opportunity to go on the Marsh Beast Air Boat tour! As we walked up Captain John greeted us enthusiastically! He had a great personality, lots of experience and put us right on the alligators. We probably saw at least 15 alligators as well as a lot of other wildlife. His knowledge of all of the species of animals that reside in the marsh and his great personality made for a great adventure!!

We absolutely loved our tour. Captain John was super knowledgeable, funny and hospitable. We saw dozens of gators, from tiny babies to big daddies nearing 12’ long! And the setting was absolutely gorgeous. 10/10!

I wish I could give 10 stars for this! My parents and I went on a tour with Captain Jeff this past week. It was an incredible experience! Jeff was so knowledgeable, witty, a great sense of humor, so kind, and he truly made the experience to be something we will always remember. We saw so many gators and beautiful wildlife. The boat ride was incredible! We saw so many cool animals and our guide John was so full of knowledge and made sure everyone got their pictures. The ride was smooth and we had great weather. Lots of gators and birds to see. 10/10 recommend this as an experience while visiting

This was an amazing experience and worth the price.seen lots of gators,hawks,fish, turtles and plenty more . Captain John was very knowledgeable and gave plenty of facts and history of the area and the animals. He was very patient and would stop and get very close to the gators so everyone could get plenty of photos. He was an extremely nice, and respectful guy who loves what he does , and I don't think there's a better person for the job.
